As a Milwaukee maternity photographer, I feel so grateful to be able to capture such a precious moment in Laura and Trever’s life. Working with Laura and Trever is always a dream! They were high school sweethearts that met in drivers ed, talk about the cutest love story ever. They have been together ever since! Last year in October, they got married and their wedding was just so full of love and style! I was honored to have photographer their wedding as well. Milwaukee Maternity Photoshoot
I was already in love with these two and then they announced they were welcoming a sweet baby to their family! 8 months post wedding, they are expecting their sweet baby in just 2 months! And you know we all love a good honeymoon baby. We decided to do their Milwaukee maternity photoshoot at Lake Andrea. We went back into the trail system to explore and then went over to the beach! I am in love with all of their photos and each location was so perfect.

Lake Andrea was gorgeous this day! The weather was just incredible but the mosquitos were FIERCE FIERCE FIERCE! It ended up making little firefly type specs in the photos that looks so beautiful, but you wouldn’t even know that in reality they are nasty little bugs! It’s a fun little story that Laura and Trever and I like to kid around about together. Also, side note! Laura’s jewelry is from JoeLuc and I am OBSESSED! One of my favorite things to capture at a maternity session, is your sweet belly. You are growing a little human in there and it’s something worth documenting! Laura was fully down for doing some belly shots and I loved her carefree style.

Naturally, my incredibly klutzy self tripped over a rock, completely fell over, smashed my camera into the sand and I just popped up and was like umm…it’s fine this is super natural behavior for me. Cue the story of how I broke my foot in Mexico on one step! I also dropped my lens hood in the water. I ended up just walking into the lake like halfway in jeans and tennis shoes to get the shots! Hahah the things I won’t do to get good photos! So, don’t be surprised if I suddenly go down in the middle of your shoot!
